2008 Shopping Centre Database
Property Council New Zealand and New Zealand Council of Shopping Centres is pleased to announce the release of the 2008
edition of the New Zealand Shopping Centre Database – The guide for anyone working within the retail sector that
conducts extensive sector analysis.
The Database is based on the printed Directory, which is widely used within the commercial property industry.
It contains information on 156 shopping centres New Zealand wide, covering 2.12 square meters of rentable area, 4,942
specialty shops, 19,550 seats in food courts and 84 supermarkets. Floorplans have been included for 60 centres and a
full store directory for 65 centres, with national summaries, and the top ten owners and managers by net lettable area.
The individual centre snapshots in the Directory coupled with Excel’s data analysis makes the New Zealand Shopping
Centre Database a powerful analytical tool.
