PRESS RELEASE 3 OCTOBER 2008
Award Winning Adventure Tour Operator Enters New Zealand Market
Award winning small group tour company, Adventure Tours, has partnered with Stray in New Zealand to offer its services to visitors looking for a cost-effective, exciting activity based group travel option.
With less time and more disposable income, many solo travellers are looking for an easy and well organised way to experience the adventurous side of New Zealand within a group environment.
Adventure Tours prides itself on its ability to offer a more personalised experience due to its smaller group sizes.
This enables the company to take visitors to more remote areas, offer unique l accommodation options and provide better quality walks and specialised activities including an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound, a wildlife cruise in the Bay of Islands and mountain biking in Central Otago to name but a few.
Initially established in Australia and specialising in small group nature-based tours for the active traveller, Adventure Tours has won a number of tourism and business awards. The business has partnered in New Zealand with Stray hop-on, hop-off adventure bus network.
Neil Geddes, executive director of Stray, said: “Adventure Tours fills a gap between the backpacker hop-on hop-off bus environment and the more organised tours aimed at the older or more expensive end of the market.
“Many of our customers are budget conscious solo travellers who are in New Zealand for a short time and wanting fun and adventure, but within the security of a group environment.”
“This new partnership allows us to offer our customers the choice between the freedom of Stray’s hop-on, hop-off bus trips, or the more organised and personalised Adventure Tours offer.
“Adventure Tours has an excellent reputation and knowledge of operating quality budget tours and we are delighted to be partnering with them in New Zealand.”
