Yahoo!Xtra Events powered by Eventfinder
Yahoo!Xtra have extended their entertainment content to include a comprehensive events guide (http://events.yahooxtra.co.nz). Yahoo!Xtra is one of New Zealand's most visited websites, with 2.415 million unique users in August according to Nielsen.
Featuring events from all over the country, the guide is provided through a content syndication agreement with eventfinder.co.nz, New Zealand's largest national events calendar.
Eventfinder's Chief Executive, Michael Turner, says that "this is an extraordinary tool for anyone responsible for marketing events, as they only have to list them free of charge on eventfinder.co.nz and we take care of distributing that information to the major media outlets."
"Eventfinder now has the largest audience of any events guide in the country."
Another syndication partner, AA Travel, recently re-launched their events guide with Eventfinder content. aatravel.co.nz had 154,000 unique browsers in August (Nielsen).
Eventfinder also provides the content for the gig guide at nzherald.co.nz, also one of New Zealand's most popular sites with 2.457 million unique browsers in August (Nielsen).
The New Zealand Herald's weekly entertainment magazine, TimeOut, is also a content syndication partner, extending the distribution of events listed at eventfinder.co.nz into print as well.
"More content syndication agreements have already been reached with several of New Zealand's largest media companies" says Turner. "The next events channel with another major content syndication partner will be launched within a week."
eventfinder.co.nz was launched in January 2006, and has grown to become New Zealand's largest national events calendar.
The site is unique in that event promoters, marketers and publicists can enter their event information once, and have it distributed automatically to eventfinder.co.nz, thehive.co.nz, gigs.co.nz, nzherald.co.nz, yahooxtra.co.nz, aatravel.co.nz, grownups.co.nz, getfrank.co.nz, triptouch.com, intercity.co.nz, slynkey.com, nzdjs.co.nz and TimeOut magazine.
