Windows come alive at Kirkcaldie & Stains
sloggi and top department store announce special once-off ”lively” window display!
Wellington, New Zealand – Kirkcaldie & Stains (Wellington) and international lingerie brand ‘sloggi’ have teamed up to present a special “live” window display
to celebrate the “Show me your sloggi” international promotion to find the world’s cutest bottoms!
The “lively” display will take place in Kirkcaldie & Stains’ main window on Lambton Quay tomorrow (Thursday 18 September) from 12-2pm.
“Using one of our famous windows on Lambton Quay for a “lively” display gives the store an opportunity to show case the
sloggi brand on real people and at the same time encourage Wellingtonians to enter the international ‘Show Me Your
Sloggi’ competition”,
says Kirkcaldie & Stains Promotions Manager Lyn Tait.
Victoria Fitzgerald (National Sales Manager for Sloggi NZ) is thrilled with the campaign, and is pleased to be able to
take part in the competition for the first time: “This is a great opportunity for Kiwi men and women to have a shot at
an international modelling contract, and wouldn’t it be fantastic to have a Wellingtonian in Paris as a finalist?!”
The “Show me your sloggi” campaign is on the search for the world’s most beautiful male and female bottoms, and this
year NZ has a chance to show the world where lingerie sits best.
The male and female national NZ winners will be flown to Paris in November for the international final where they have
the chance to win a sloggi modelling contract, 15,000 EURO (approx. $NZ30,000) and bottom insurance!
Sloggi will also have a fitting team in the Kirkcaldie’s lingerie department tomorrow from 10am-4pm to fit and showcase
the new summer collection. Wearing the wrong sized bra can have negative effects on health and wellbeing, as well as
being uncomfortable.
Victoria likens buying a bra to buying shoes – “You wouldn’t buy a pair of shoes without trying them on first, and it
should be the same with your bra. People tend to stick to the same sized bra despite the difference in sizing between
brands and other factors. It’s really amazing how many NZ women wear ill-fitting bras, and it’s something I’m always
trying to change.”

“Show me your sloggi”
An online and interactive contest, sloggi® is encouraging people across the globe (aged over 18) to upload photographs
of their behind on to www.sloggi.com or visit the sloggi® website to view the contenders and cast their votes for their favourite bottom.
Just how enthralled young male and female users from around the world are to bring the all too neglected bottom from out
of its shadowy existence can be proved by the response to the 2007 competition: over six million unique visitors
uploaded and placed 30,000 pictures, and over 37 million votes were cast.
The NZ finalists will be determined by public voting, and then will face a national judging panel who will select NZ’s
top male and female bottoms. The two winners will then travel to Paris in November 2008 to take part in the
international smys final.
Voting takes place on the campaign website www.sloggi.com, and everyone is eligible to register to vote, so show your support of your favourite buns! The NZ competition runs
until 3 October 2008, and the 10 males and females with the most votes will go on to the national judging event to be
held late October.
