Barfoot & Thompson sponsors Diwali for second year
Auckland’s leading real estate company, Barfoot & Thompson, is proud to once again be sponsoring the colourful Diwali Festival of Lights at Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour on
18 and 19 October.
This annual Festival celebrates Indian culture and tradition and attracts visitors from all over Auckland and around New
Zealand.
Barfoot & Thompson Managing Director, Peter Thompson says, “The company’s decision to sponsor the Diwali Festival for the second
year in a row is a way of celebrating the growing cultural diversity of Auckland and acknowledges the ethnic diversity
of our own 950+ sales team.”
“As Auckland’s leading real estate company, we work across every local area and community in the greater Auckland
region. Our salespeople play an important role in assisting new migrants to settle into New Zealand by helping them buy
or rent their first home – an important platform to establishing their new lives here.”
“Many new migrants have also carved successful real estate careers with our company. We have almost 40 different
ethnicities within Barfoot & Thompson and many of our top achieving salespeople are people who were born in countries other than New Zealand.”
The Diwali Festival excites the senses with everything from delicious Indian foods to spectacular light displays and the
much anticipated Bollywood dance competition. Barfoot & Thompson will be joining in the fun with a colourful stand and giveaways, as well as having experienced salespeople on
hand to answer any real estate questions.
