“We are honoured to have been selected as winners in the Plain English Awards for our Seafood ITO (industry training organisation) website,” said New Zealand Seafood Industry Council communications manager Sarah Crysell at the Awards dinner in Wellington last night. The website (www.sito.co.nz) was judged winner of the Plain English Best Website Private Sector category in this year’s competition.
The website was developed as part of a ‘family’ of sites that are required to serve many purposes, but also meet the needs of a broader communications strategy.
“We set out to build our initial website with an objective of being clear, clean, current and concise. Recognition that the Seafood ITO site has met the high standards set by the Plain English Awards is very satisfying,” Mrs Crysell said.
