Bus and Coach Association says Tourism Manifesto provides a clear road ahead
The Bus and Coach Association (BCA) has applauded today’s release of the Tourism Industry Election Manifesto by the Tourism Industry Association (TIA).
Raewyn Bleakley, Chief Executive of BCA said the manifesto provides a clear road ahead for the tourism industry.  “In a concise fashion, the Manifesto has rightly identified the major priorities for the industry.  If we can get a commitment from an incoming government to work with us on these priorities then there is a real chance of further success”.
Raewyn Bleakley said that BCA was particularly pleased with the emphasis on infrastructure.  “In the past few decades investment in infrastructure has failed to keep up with the demands placed on it.  It’s good to see a focus in the Manifesto on more investment in transport infrastructure and in particular roads”
As well as supporting other priority areas, such as marketing and the environment, the BCA was pleased to see a focus on the training and works skills area.
The BCA congratulated TIA on producing a document that encapsulated the key priorities for the entire industry. Raewyn Bleakley said “we look forward to working with TIA and the incoming government on achieving these priorities”.
