NZ School of Export has foot on the accelerator
The New Zealand School of Export is helping businesses in the Manawatu accelerate their exporting potential. Working
with Vision Manawatu, the Export Accelerator Programme which includes follow-up coaching and support, is fully funded
from New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
Romuald Rudzki, Director of the NZSOE had this to say: “The Export Accelerator programme is aimed at being the stepping
stone between half- and one-day exporter courses and our Diploma of International Trade, which is New Zealand’s only
internationally accredited professional qualification for exporters, undertaken through distance education in the
workplace.
With enrolments open for a fourth cohort of the Diploma and the Export Accelerator programme due to start in September,
Romuald has “been encouraged by the numbers of companies who have realised the importance of raising their profitability
through investing in their staff training. Many companies think of training as a cost which can be removed when times
are tough, not as an investment. My response to this is to ask companies about the cost of not training their staff to
global standards - if you are going to compete on the international stage -you better make sure that your training and
preparation are up to international standards”.
Kiwi exporters already studying with the School are secure in the knowledge that they are at the top of their class.
Recently, the results were announced for all those studying the internationally recognised Diploma of International
Trade across 60+ institutions overseas and the New Zealand School ranked second overall.
