Fronde announces NZ partnership with Google
Fronde is to market Google Apps and Security and Compliance products in NZ
Fronde has been appointed Google’s first partner in New Zealand for the Google Security, Compliance and eDiscovery products as well as Google Apps.
“Fronde has the track record for integration and deployment of on-demand solutions. They are innovative in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) so both the Google Apps and Google Security and Compliance Products are an excellent fit with Fronde,” said Richard Suhr, Enterprise Lead for Google Asia Pacific.
“We are excited to be Google’s first New Zealand partner for the SaaS Google Apps, Google Security, Google Compliance and eDiscovery products. We led bringing Salesforce.com to New Zealand and we are pleased to be leading again adding these Google products to our SaaS business for our corporate customers,” said Steven Graham, Fronde’s General Manager.
“These products and services have not been available in New Zealand for enterprise customers before so this is a significant development for corporate organisations.
“Our SaaS business has increased significantly over the past 3 years with Salesforce.com, TwoSecure, TXT-a-Park and other payment solutions. We have demonstrated that we can build high performing teams to take these to market and we are ready to do the same with the Google products. Google makes our SaaS offering even more powerful.
“With the SaaS business model, there is nothing to install or maintain, and Fronde anticipates significant savings for corporate customers. It will be great to see Google and SaaS products being adopted in the enterprise space by New Zealand businesses alongside our other SaaS solutions,” said Fronde’s Steve Graham.
Google Apps is best known for Gmail, but there are also a number of new products available including tools for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, shared calendaring, and access to a flexible intranet system.
From an email security perspective, Google protects users from spam, viruses and other messaging-based threats. Google’s incredible storage capacity provides new email archiving capabilities never before available. The compliance services provide the tools needed to archive and search email files to comply with regulatory and acceptable usage requirements.
Two of the most unique features offered within Google Apps are ‘collaboration’ and ‘Gadgets’.
“Collaboration is a real strength of Google Apps” added Graham, “allowing two people to remotely modify the same document, saving a lot of time and eliminating miscommunication.”
Gadgets are interactive mini-applications that can be used within Google Apps that offer dynamic content. They are effectively mini programs that offer real-time data. Google offers a gallery of pre-built Gadgets for download on the official website.
“With Google Security, Compliance and eDiscovery products as well as Google Apps, the software-as-a-service offering is an idea whose time has finally come. Based upon the demand from our clients, there is clearly a real market for these solutions,” concluded Steve Graham.
