Business as usual for Church Road

Business as usual for Church Road and Corbans Wineries
At 11.25 pm on Monday 25th August an
earthquake, which measured 5.9 on the Richter scale, was
centred 30km below ground approximately 10km south west of
Hastings.
Pernod Ricard New Zealand’s two wineries in Hawke’s Bay, Church Road Winery and Corbans Winery, suffered only minor damage as a result of the earthquake so there is no disruption to any winery operations. The vineyards themselves have not been affected in any way by the earthquake.
Fabian Partigliani, Managing Director for Pernod Ricard New Zealand says “As with the Gisborne earthquake, our first priority was the safety of any staff working onsite, of which in this instance there was none.”
“For Church Road Winery it is business as usual as the site is without damage including the Church Road cellar door that came away completely unscathed. The Corbans Winery looks to have received only minor damage, due to the quick actions of our Hawke’s Bay team so we have been very lucky. We will continue with our comprehensive checks over the next few days.”
