Entertainment In The Skies Just Got Better With Singapore Airlines
Enjoy exclusive movies reviews and musical chart toppers with the latest offerings from Singapore Airlines.
In an exciting addition to the entertainment options available on Singapore Airlines, famous film critic, Leonard Maltin, will be sharing his recommendations and reviews of top movies available on KrisWorld, Singapore Airlines’ award winning in-flight entertainment system.
“Singapore Airlines is pleased to be working with Leonard Maltin to bring our customers’ travel experience to yet another level,” commented Mr Yap Kim Wah, Singapore Airlines Senior Vice-President Product and Services.
"There's nothing I like more than sharing my opinions of movies, and encouraging people to see films they might not otherwise try. I hope Singapore Airlines customers will agree with my choices... most of the time," added Mr Maltin.
Published in Singapore Airlines KrisWorld Entertainment Guide, Leonard Maltin’s reviews and top picks from KrisWorld’s extensive selection of movies will be available to every Singapore Airlines customer.
Now in his 27th year of reviewing movies with popular TV entertainment show, Entertainment Tonight, Leonard Maltin’s articles have also appeared in The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The London Times, Premiere, Esquire, and American Film among others. He has also written several books, including Behind the Camera, The Whole Film Sourcebook and the annual Leonard Maltin’s Movie Guide.
In the mid-1990s, he served two terms as President of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.
Besides movie reviews, KrisWorld will also be featuring top ten singles from the United Kingdom’s top hits from 1960 to 2000 starting from this month.
Customers will be able to select top hits like Tainted Love, Eye of the Tiger, Karma Chameleon, or choose from famous singers from the likes of Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie to Phil Collins and Celine Dion, into a customised playlist for an uninterrupted trip down memory lane.
The UK charts top hits will boost KrisWorld’s extensive and diverse selection of music in different genres including contemporary Pop, Rock, R, Country, Asian, Jazz, Classical and World.
“The introduction of Critic’s Corner, Leonard’s Top Picks and the UK charts top hits will add further choice for our customers making their entertainment selections. There will be something for everyone in this new mix,” added Mr Yap.
KrisWorld offers an extensive selection of quality entertainment options, including over 80 international movies, more than 100 TV programmes, over 180 music CD albums and audio books, video games, as well as popular interactive learning programmes such as the Berlitz® Word Traveler.
The new KrisWorld on the eX2 system, features over 1,000 entertainment options, newly introduced PC applications such as office software, Media Player, Photo Viewer and PDF Reader and an updated suite of games.
