Fuelstar Endorses AA’s Warning
New Zealand fuel combustion catalyst manufacturer, Fuelstar Fuel Combustion Technology Ltd endorses the warning given yesterday (5 August) by the New Zealand Automobile Association that motorists should beware of devices and additives which claim to provide fuel savings.
The Fuelstar product, developed in New Zealand and now sold all over the world does provide a more complete combustion in both petrol and diesel engines. This improvement reduces emissions, prolongs engine life and the life of engine oil, reduces the presence of wear metals in the engine crankcase and reduces fuel consumption.
Managing Director of Fuelstar, Mr Ian Cornelius said “our product is now being installed by new car and truck dealers as well as corporate fleets after extensive trialling by them. We are well aware of other copy products which claim to do the same thing but frequently fall short”.
He went on to say “Our product is sold totally differently from others. If our customer does not experience a satisfactory result within 30 days of installation we ask them to call our technical help centre so we may rectify the problem. If after a further 30 days we cannot rectify the problem then we are happy to provide a full refund of the purchase price. In more than 200,000 installations spanning 17 years, the number of refunds the Fuelstar company has been required to make could be counted on the fingers of one hand,” he said.
Mr Cornelius also said that there is no established test protocol to satisfactorily test his company’s product. The product relies upon movement and vibration to function, with the alloy pellets within the canister rubbing against each other to generate nanometric particles of suboxide of tin. These particles are active catalysts, which enable a more complete fuel burn which in turn leads to the benefits described above. This movement and vibration is present in acual use; however none of the established test protocols take this crucial factor into account. He went on to say that his company is working with various test authorities to design a suitable test protocol to enable his company to undertake verification testing in the laboratory.
Meanwhile the Fuelstar company is more than happy to stand behind the claims made for its product and relies upon the excellent results achieved with it by hundreds of thousands of satisfied motorists.
