Press Statement Update On San Cuvier Accident
Company officials along with insurance assessors and accident investigators were able to board the San Cuvier this morning and inspect the vessel. The assessment by Sanford personnel completed at the vessel have concluded it is now likely to be a total constructive loss and it is expected that the insurers will confirm this position in the near future. Before the future of the wreck is decided, the Company in conjunction with the insurers is preparing plans to remove all of the diesel and other contaminants on board the vessel and this operation is expected to commence as soon as the current weather settles.
