Auckland a favourite with Aussie Business Travellers
Business travellers surveyed on favourite destinations
BRISBANE – 8 July 2008: Australians have voted Auckland one of their favourite destinations for business travel in a
survey conducted by accommodation website, Wotif.com.
Auckland took out 8th place on the list, beating Dubai, Beijing and Hawaii, with nearly 10% of the business travellers
surveyed, selecting New Zealand’s largest city as their favourite.
London took line honours with 19% of the vote, pipping New York, Hong Kong and Paris in the process.
Commenting on the survey, Wotif.com’s New Zealand General Manager Tania Witheford said the results were a positive sign
for New Zealand tourism.
Over 80% of respondents said they tried to add a leisure component to the beginning or end of their trip.
