LexisNexis Acquires LAWbase, the Leading Practice Management Solution from CCH New Zealand Ltd.
Small to medium size law firms to benefit from expanded LexisNexis(r) practice management portfolio
Auckland, New Zealand, 12 June 2008 - LexisNexis, a leading global provider of business information solutions, today announced the acquisition of the LAWbase practice management business from CCH New Zealand Ltd. This acquisition will expand the existing LexisNexis(r) portfolio of products and services, including PCLaw(tm) and Lexis(r) Affinity, designed to help legal professionals manage their businesses and workflows more efficiently.
LAWbase is the leading provider of practice management software to small and medium law firms in New Zealand, with a customer base of more than 500 firms. It is the most widely-used legal practice management system in New Zealand, delivering solutions to lawyers that encompass billing, time recording, trust accounting, matter management, marketing, and management reporting.
Customers in New Zealand will benefit from the integration of LexisNexis content, services and software tools to address specific practice management needs.
