About time that we let you know the latest new consumer based website to hit New Zealand.
www.prizecheck.co.nz is a competitions listing website providing a consumer service.
This was launched 12 weeks ago. We have been surprised at the number of competitions running at any one time. PrizeCheck
currently has over 750 open New Zealand competitions listed.
After being continually troubled by the number of competitions and the questions raised :-
Who wins these?
Do the prizes really get awarded?
How do you know who has won?
Are these a scam?
Etc, Etc.
We created a user friendly place that helps consumers answer these questions.
The Website lists current, closed and drawn competitions with a link back to the company running the competition. This
allows consumers to enter the competition, check terms & conditions, and later check on the winners. How many times do you enter a competition and either forget about it or
can’t remember details to check? By using the ‘My PrizeCheck’ watch list you can keep the details and check later for
winners.
Consumers are asked to list the competitions with the website, they are then checked to verify that they are current and
they are split into either major or minor categories, this is usually based on prize value. We then contact the
companies running the majors and ask them to verify that the information listed is correct. The companies are contacted
at the end of the competition and given the chance to list the winners on PrizeCheck.
A scam watch is also available to make consumers aware of any scams, they can also advise others of a scam or potential
scam that they have come across.
