Beca announces Wellington office move
Beca has announced that their Wellington office will be moving from Thorndon Quay to a refurbished building owned by Primeproperty Group in Molesworth Street.
The move to Aorangi House is expected to be completed by July 2009 and Beca’s Wellington Regional Manager Mike Kerr says the move is mainly motivated by a need for more space as their staff numbers have grown by more than 30 percent to 215 since 2006.
Beca is working with Primeproperty Group and Studio Pacific Architecture to achieve a five-star Green Star NZ building rating.
“As a recognised designer of environmentally sustainable buildings this is a good opportunity for us to practice what we preach and have our people working in a green environment,” says Mr Kerr.
“As a proud Wellingtonian I think it’s great to see some of our 70’s buildings being re-cycled – what’s more sustainable than that?”
Primeproperty Group is a prominent Wellington office and hotel proprietor and is committed to provide sustainable building solutions in its investment property portfolio.
“Aorangi House will be a major transformation and the first of many sustainable solutions to be implemented by Primeproperty Group,” says Primeproperty Group CEO Eyal Aharoni.
