New Appointments For Accor Network
Accor is pleased to announce the following senior appointments:
ANIL SOOD has been appointed Hotel Manager, Novotel Rotorua Lakeside this month. Anil has over 26 years experience in
the hospitality industry, including almost five years experience for Accor franchise properties, most recently as
General Manager at Grand Mercure Oakridge Wanaka.
FRASER MCKENZIE replaces Anil as General Manager, Grand Mercure Oakridge. Fraser has been with Accor since 1997 and has
held a variety of senior management positions within New Zealand, most recently as General Manager of Mercure Resort
Queenstown.
PAUL CLARK has been appointed General Manager, Mercure Resort Queenstown, replacing Fraser. Paul has nearly 20 years
experience in the hospitality industry and joined Accor in 1997. He was most recently General Manager, Mercure Hotel
Nadi.
RHYS CHALLENGER has been appointed General Manager, Mercure Hotel Nadi. Rhys joined Accor in 1996 and has since held a
variety of management positions in New Zealand and Australia and was most recently Executive Assistant Manager at
Novotel Nadi (previously Mocambo).
JIM MOORE has been appointed General Manager, Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. Jim has more than 23 years experience in the
hospitality industry and during his last 12 years with Accor has held various management and pre-opening roles. He was
most recently General Manager, Mercure Hotel Auckland.
SURESH SUBRAMANIAM has been appointed General Manager, Mercure Hotel Auckland. Suresh has 17 years experience in the
hospitality industry and was most recently Executive Assistant Manager at Novotel Auckland Ellerslie and Hotel Ibis
Ellerslie.
SHANNON HERRELL has been appointed Hotel Manager, Novotel Auckland Ellerslie & Hotel Ibis Ellerslie. Shannon joined Accor in August 2003 and during this time he has held various senior management
positions within New Zealand and Australia, most recently as General Manager Hotel Ibis Wollongong. Shannon has over 18
years experience in the hospitality industry.
