Kiwi Designed Cat A Huge Hit In The US
Roger Hill may have had New Zealand’s demanding sea conditions in mind when he penned the design for the ArrowCat 30,
but the 30-foot power catamaran has become an international success.
First introduced in the U.S. in late 2007 in the San Francisco area, the ArrowCat 30 has caused a stir among potential
dealers, customers and the media.
Now it’s finally available in the country where it all began, the ArrowCat 30 is set to make her New Zealand debut at
the 2008 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.
Designed for our seas and with rising petrol costs in mind, the ArrowCat 30 will impress anyone looking for a speedy,
sturdy ride - from family cruisers to ocean-going sportsmen.
Capable of speeds of 42 knots with twin 175 hp outboard engines, and with accommodation for up to 6 berths, a large
dinette, and a private W/C and shower, the ArrowCat 30 redefines performance and cruising layout among 30 foot
power-cats.
The ArrowCat 30 debuts at the New Zealand Boat Show in Auckland (May 15-18). Visitors to the show will be the first to
see the production power catamaran cruiser to offer ArrowCat Marine’s high-technology composite for exceptional fuel
economy, speed, and usable space.
Built with extensive use of Airex foam core and precisely hand-laminated biaxial and unidirectional fiberglass, the
ArrowCat 30 offers the construction quality never before accessible in a 30 foot production boat.
Assembled by an experienced international team of highly skilled boat builders in a modern, dedicated facility in China,
the ArrowCat 30 is ABYC compliant and uses world-best components and materials from suppliers in Australia/New Zealand,
the USA, and Europe.
The ArrowCat 30 has a spacious interior design with almost 360 degree visibility in the salon and midship helm. For
overnight cruising, the ArrowCat 30 provides a master stateroom, two adult sized mid-berths, plus a salon dinette
conversion for an additional double berth. A private, standing room head and shower compartment has the comforts of
home. The roomy aft cockpit and spacious swim platform invite water activities from fishing to snorkeling and scuba
diving.
The ArrowCat 30 is engineered to extreme standards by High Modulus New Zealand. The engineering specification of working
speed 50 knots, 2.5 G’s of force, and 500hp far exceeds the conditions that most boaters will ever experience and
provides a huge safety margin for fast performance in rough water conditions.
Every new ArrowCat 30 also comes with a Fusion iPod Marine Audio System as standard. This innovative system is the first
Marine Stereo Unit in the world to feature true internal iPod docking, so the iPod actually sits inside a waterproof
drawer in the Stereo Unit.
Win one of these outstanding Fusion iPod Marine Audio Systems for yourself, valued at $785.00, by simply visiting the
ArrowCat stand at the upcoming Hutchwilco New Boat Show and filling out an entry form.
With so many features and capabilities, the ArrowCat 30 will impress boaters looking for a tough family cruiser with
superior stability and sea handling along with accommodations unusual for a boat of this size.
