Telecom announces half price international roaming for all customers
Telecom customers who roam overseas will be able to make or receive calls for half price until the end of November.
With Telecom's WorldMode service, customers can roam to Australia and up to 140 countries worldwide, and will now receive half price roaming voice calls for the period 6 May to 30 November 2008.
Telecom GM of Mobile Martin Butler says "the roaming market is opening up for New Zealanders, and Telecom sees an opportunity with our extensive WorldMode service to give more kiwis the best possible roaming experience while overseas."
In addition to the half price calling, all new customers can select a free WorldMode-capable OKTA Mondo or Samsung W531 mobile phone when they sign up to a 24 month Flexi plan until 15 June 2008.
All Telecom roaming customers are eligible for the half price calling rates. Customers who don't own their own WorldMode phone are able to loan a free roaming phone for their trip and take advantage of the half price calling.
Telecom's WorldMode service gives customers an easy, seamless solution allowing them to step off the plane and automatically connect to the best local network whether its CDMA or GSM technology. Telecom WorldMode customers use their own mobile number and voicemail while overseas.
