Life Pharmacy’s Des Flynn appointed General Manager Strategic Business Development
Life Pharmacy Limited (NZX:LPL) has announced the appointment of Des Flynn to the position of General Manager Strategic Business Development.
In this role he has overall responsibility for developing and implementing initiatives to drive the company’s growth including mergers and acquisitions, new property development, franchisee acquisition and new brands.
His appointment completes the formation of a new leadership team under Chief Executive Officer, Philip Ingham.
Des had worked with Life Pharmacy in a variety of consulting roles since its listing and became Chief Operating Officer in March 2006. He was also Acting CEO until the appointment of Philip Ingham in August 2007.
“Des has already demonstrated his immense value to the Company in driving a number of important initiatives, including the Living Card, the development of new format stores and the introduction of centralised reporting systems,” says Mr Ingham. “In this new role his experience in strategic planning and business development will be in invaluable in driving the growth of Life Pharmacy into new areas.”
