Results Group Win at Vero Business Awards.
2008 Vero Business Excellence Awards place Results Group at no.1 in New Zealand.
The Results Group consolidated their reputation as New Zealand’s leading provider of business development and support services, winning the Excellence in Business Support Award for 1-1 Business Services category (sub $5,000,000) at the 2008 Vero Excellence in Business Awards held on April 18 at the Logan Campbell Centre in Auckland. The win signifies industry-wide confirmation of Results Groups’ success in helping privately owned New Zealand businesses grow against adverse market conditions.
Owner and managing director Ben Ridler takes a big picture view of the success: “We’ve been very determined to help Kiwi businesses grow in an increasingly tough global market and ultimately, the success of our clients is good news for the economy. We’re just stoked to win an award that recognises that. It belongs to our whole team, it’s a recognition of their efforts, their expertise and our clients’ hard work.” Ridler adds that while the news is dominated by talk of recession, Results clients are focussed on succession and positive growth strategies.
The Results Group has been a finalist in the Education Category, alongside tertiary institutions, for the past two years. This year they were entered in four categories, and were finalists in two.
Notes For Editors:
The Results Group is New Zealand's leading professional service provider of business coaching for larger-sized, privately-owned companies. Nine practices work with over 400 New Zealand businesses every year, helping owners to:
* turn their business into a valuable, saleable asset
* grow in size or increase profits
* develop their business in new directions
* maximise employee engagement
* enjoy more freedom and get 'a life beyond work'
The Results Group's purpose is to maximise business success, creating freedom for owners and shareholders by releasing both capital and time. The Results Group provides a comprehensive range of coaching and mentoring services, diagnostic business assessments, a full calendar of business education and professional development events.
Managing Director Ben Ridler sees Succession Planning or exit strategy development as perhaps the most crucial issue currently facing privately owned companies in New Zealand. Despite this, it is also widely neglected, research showing that only ten percent of privately owned businesses currently have a formal strategy in place. It is an issue that is currently dealt with only cursorily by other business advisory services and banks.
The Results Group recently won the 2008 Vero Excellence in Business Support Award for 1-1 Business Services (<$5m) and has also been a Finalist in the Education Category, alongside tertiary institutions, for the past two years
Independent customer research by Perceptive Insight Ltd shows that Results clients have an average annualised growth rate of 49.6%.
The Results Group partners with the ASB Bank to produce the nationwide ASB Business Series, a seminar delivering the latest world-class thinking on fuelling and sustaining growth for businesses that turn over in excess of $1 million dollars.
In April 2008 The Results Group are launching SaleReady, a fully integrated succession planning solution, with a series of interactive seminars targeted at businesses valued for sale at a million dollars and over. The result will be to help business owners enhance and protect the value of their businesses at sale in a buyers’ market.
