Geon Launches New Zealand’s Largest Visual Communications Production Site
On Wednesday 23 April the Right Honourable Helen Clark, Prime Minister of New Zealand, and the Mayor of Manukau City, Len Brown, will officially open GEON Group’s new state-ofthe- art, “super site”, production facility; based at Highbrook, Manukau.
The 11,000 square metre super site, which cost NZ$10 million to build, was completed on time and budget in January 2008, with the facility fully functional by March 2008. GEON’s Highbrook site currently houses over 170 expert staff, specialist machinery and NZ$13 million of brand new equipment purchased specifically for this facility.
“The building is quite simply the biggest of its kind in New Zealand”, commented Andrew Durrans, Group General Manager – New Zealand. “Highbrook will meet the current and future needs of our growing list of clients, and has already helped to secure large contracts with some of New Zealand’s most prominent businesses, including Fairfax Media”.
Services offered to GEON clients through the Highbrook facility will include creative design, data management, print, mail services, warehousing and fulfilment; plus a suite of specialised products and services. “I’m delighted that the Right Honourable Helen Clark will be opening our newest and largest operations facility”, commented Graham Morgan, CEO GEON Group. “GEON is evolving to meet the needs of our clients throughout New Zealand and Australia, providing highly tailored vertically integrated visual communications solutions – it’s not just about printing, clients require much more”, concluded, Mr Morgan.
