Hirepool Continues National Growth Strategy With Opening Of Henderson Rentals Branch In Wellington
Equipment leader Hirepool Limited has continued its national growth strategy with the opening of its first Henderson Rentals branch in Wellington.
Hirepool purchased the well established truck and commercial vehicle company early last year to extend its foothold in the industrial sector. With over 40 years history in the vehicle rental market, Henderson Rentals as a division of Hirepool, continues to retain its reputation for high quality customer and transport solutions making it a recognisable market leader in Commercial Vehicle Rentals.
Henderson Rentals has a fleet of around 500 vehicles used by contracting and construction companies, courier companies, furniture and house shifting, general cartage, and by schools, sports and social clubs, and families, for short or long-term use.
The vehicle rentals company has also established a close liaison with the film industry, providing camera trucks, utility vehicles, props/wardrobe trucks and other specialised vehicles for some of New Zealand’s top productions including Hercules, Xena - Warrior Princess, The Piano, Once Were Warriors, Heavenly Creatures, among others.
Henderson Rentals National Divisional Manager Tere Hagai says expanding into Wellington is consistent with its strategic plan to extend its rental network nationwide. “We wanted our Henderson Rental customers to have greater access to our fleet and be able to source vehicles from locations beyond Auckland,” he says. It is the 5th Henderson Rentals branch.
Mr Hagai says he is always excited about new ventures but is particularly looking forward to the opening of the Wellington branch. “I worked in Wellington for many years and I know the market,” he says. “I’m ready to tackle the challenges and opportunities the new branch will bring,” he says.
Located at Port Road in Seaview, Lower Hutt, the 1300m² branch is headed by Branch Manager Mike Staal who has joined Henderson Rentals from Turners Car Auctions where he was Operations Manager.
Tenby Powell, Chief Executive of Rakino Group, owners of Hirepool and Henderson Rentals, says “the forthcoming opening reflects the company’s confidence for future development of the industrial sector in the Wellington region and continues Hirepool’s focus to make Henderson Rentals a truly nationwide company.“
