AsureQuality sets up forestry compliance business in Australia

AsureQuality (www.asurequality.com) one of the world's leading providers of food quality assurance and biosecurity
services is expanding its Australian business in the forestry sector.
Graham Lea has recently been appointed to the position of Forestry Coordinator for all forestry activities carried out
in Australia.
He brings a wealth of experience in forest stewardship certification, timber preservation, timber processing,
fumigation, wood packaging (ISPM) and forest management.
AsureQuality has been a certified body involved in auditing to the Australian Wood Packaging Certification Scheme for
ISPM wood packaging manufacturers and treaters since the scheme's inception in 2004.
"We will be able to proactively assist ISPM producers and treaters and develop our business throughout Australia," said
AsureQuality General Manager of Assurance Services Hans Verberne.
"Some of the quality assurance programmes we are continuing to audit range from general wood pallets through to
specialised packaging such as crates for submersible marine motors that are destined for oil rigs off shore and large 20
metre long crates for aircraft parts out of Melbourne."
