Fares starting from just $35 each way
Newmans Coach Lines have announced a new full service coach route between Christchurch and Queenstown that will launch on April 1, well in time for the upcoming ski season with fares starting from $35 one way and being capped at $69.
The new service will include complimentary hotel pick-up and drop-offs, driver commentary and an onboard toilet for added convenience and will include pick-up and drop-off stops in Methven, Wanaka and Tarras.
Sales and marketing manager for InterCity and Newmans Coach Lines, Daniel Rode, said this new service is ideal for skiers, students and the many tourists that visit this region each year.
"The journey from Christchurch to Queenstown must surely be one of most spectacular routes scenery wise in New Zealand. Our new full-service offering provides passengers with the opportunity to sit back, relax and take in the views while our drivers get you there safely.
"With fares ranging from just $35 to $69 one-way, our service is affordable for everyone from students to international travellers. By upgrading our service offering on this route and adding in more stops along the way, we are providing consumers with more travel and accommodation options during the ski season and giving international tourists the opportunity to explore these fascinating towns.
"The new service is also the ideal way for Cantabrians to hit the slopes this winter, without the worry of driving and transporting their ski gear. Fitting four people and all the related ski and snowboard equipment into a car can resemble a comedy act. By travelling with Newmans, we take away the pressure and stress so that passengers concentrate on just enjoying their holiday," said Mr Rode.
