Student’s Dilemma: $10,000 on the bar or in the bank?
Lucky Canterbury University student Alex McCormack is the final winner of $10,000 in the h2go snapped for cash promotion
and his popularity around University Hall is soaring with bar tab requests left, right and centre. Alex is now the
fourth Cantabrian to have won from the $90,000 prize pool.
Alex first received a call from a family member to say they saw him on TV while he was out getting dinner on Sunday
night. Upon returning home another friend burst into his room saying he had won $10,000 with h2go.
“I tried calling the h2go hotline straight away but in my haste I forgot to dial one to get out and unbeknown to me at
the time I went through to the university office where I got the message to call during office hours. I didn’t sleep a
wink all night waiting until morning to make that call.” Alex said.
Alex is in his first year of an Engineering degree and had been chatting to a friend about the h2go promotion while out
shopping at Riccarton Mall. Ironically soon afterward he was snapped with his specially marked bottle of h2go.
“After I received confirmation that I was the winner my mum suggested I should deposit the money in the bank. But
unfortunately I live in a hall of residence and everyone reckons it’s my shout for the rest of the year…I’m kinda stuck
between a rock and a hard place!” said Alex.
Winner Week 9 – Alex McCormack
Alex is the ninth and final winner of the h2go snapped for cash promotion. The nine winners have hailed from around the
country with four from Canterbury, two from Auckland and one each from Hamilton, Lower Hutt and Dunedin. The nine New
Zealander’s are all $10,000 richer thanks to getting snapped drinking a specially marked bottle of h2go.
h2go was the first New Zealand mineral water to be bottled in a sippertop pack, and is one of the largest on the go
lifestyle water brands in New Zealand.
