Auto Trader Scoops Motoring Journalist of the Year Award
Mike Stock, editor of Auto Trader, beat some tough competition to take the honour of Deliotte Motoring Journalist of the
Year at the 2008 AA Motoring Excellence Awards held at a gala dinner on Friday 7 March.
The judging panel praised Stock's ability to cover a wide range of New Zealand motoring topics within a condensed
format. The judges considered a host of work coming from journalists, looking at not only mainstream media but also the
likes of blogs and broadcast media.
An elated Mike Stock acknowledged the quality of his fellow nominees adding, "To say I am happy to have won this award
would be a major understatement. I am absolutely delighted. It's not just recognition of my work but of the importance
of Auto Trader in the general motoring and motorsport news arenas".
Over it's 27 year history, Auto Trader has evolved into an industry leading publication providing readers with topics on
all aspects of the motoring industry. Mike Stock has been a spearhead over the years in this evolution and has always
