New Meat & Wool New Zealand director elected in the south
_Farmers in the Southern South Island electorate have elected Leon Black of Riverton as their new director on the board of Meat & Wool New Zealand.
Meat & Wool New Zealand Company Secretary, Androula Dometakis said the Returning Officer Warwick Lampp from Electionz.com, has advised the official results for the 2008 Director Election for the Southern South Island electoral district.

McNAB, Hilary 3,435
The voting return percentage for the election was 39.5%. This represents 49% of the sheep and beef industry in the district.
Mr Black replaces Jeff Grant, who retires at the completion of his term at the Meat & Wool New Zealand Annual General Meeting being held in Palmerston North on 12 March.
Mr Grant was the first Chairman of Meat & Wool New Zealand when it was formed in 2003 and he stepped down from that role last year.
