Cunard Queens to Visit Auckland
Queen Victoria Makes First Visit February 15
QE2’s Final Visit February 21
Auckland will host the maiden New Zealand visit of Cunard’s latest Queen – the magnificent Queen Victoria – on Friday February 15 2008.
Arriving into the harbour at 6am and berthing at 7am at Princes Wharf, the 90,000-tonne Queen Victoria will visit the city as part of her inaugural world voyage.
Launched in the UK in December 2007, Queen Victoria will be the youngest ever ocean liner to visit New Zealand.
Carrying around 2000 guests, Queen Victoria’s first world voyage is a 106-night odyssey around the globe. She will arrive in Auckland from Fiji and will depart later that day for Napier (Feb 16), then Wellington (Feb 17).

Meanwhile Cunard’s legendary Queen, QE2, will pay her last visit to Auckland on Thursday February 21, as part of her final world voyage.
During her 40 years of service, the 70,327-tonne QE2 has carried more than 2.5 million passengers and sailed 5.6 million nautical miles – more than any ship in history.
This visit will mark QE2’s 22nd visit to Auckland since her first call 30 years ago. She will arrive at Princes Wharf at 8am and depart at 10pm the same day.
Cunard is part of Carnival Corporation & plc, the world’s largest cruise vacation company, which also includes P Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises, Seabourn, Costa and P Cruises UK.
