Romance your significant other on Valentines Day
Want to do something special for your significant other this Valentines Day? Online banking service RaboPlus.co.nz is
giving all romantics a helping hand. Teams from RaboPlus are out on the streets handing out roses, and a special
Valentines Day website has been set up.
Mike Heath, General Manager of RaboPlus.co.nz, says they wanted to do something romantic and unique, plus celebrate
their own birthday which falls on Valentines Day.
“We’ve got ‘Rabogirls and Raboboys’ giving out roses on the street in Auckland and Wellington, both in the morning while
people are on their way to work and during lunchtime.”
Mr Heath says that tags attached to the roses direct people to the website www.YourSignificantOther.co.nz, where they
can see a special Valentines Day message.
“Valentines Day is a time to celebrate romance and our Valentines Day video message talks about relationships and not
being taken for granted. To make Valentines Day even more special, anyone who goes to the website has a chance to win a
romantic holiday for two to a tropical paradise in the Pacific, with no strings attached!”
Mr Heath says that Valentines Day is an important day for RaboPlus as it is the bank’s birthday.
“We launched on 14 February 2006 so we’re delighted to be celebrating our birthday today.”
Mr Heath says that since its launch RaboPlus has aimed to be an innovator in the way it markets its products and
services and has steered away from the usual conservative and traditional bank promotions and advertising.
“Our activities for Valentines Day are a further part of RaboPlus’ innovative approach to marketing. At RaboPlus we like
to do things differently to other banks,”he said.
Mr Heath says anyone can enter the competition to win the romantic holiday for two by going to
www.YourSignificantOther.co.nz. The competition is open until Wednesday 27 February and the prize will be drawn on
Thursday 28 February.
