Basking in the glory of $10,000 – lucky beach goer claims prize
Hamilton pharmacist, Nicole McLean, never imagined a holiday at the beach could be so rewarding, after winning $10,000 with the h2go Snapped for Cash Promotion.
The 23 year old was spending a quiet night at her boyfriend’s house on Sunday evening when she was suddenly inundated with text messages from friends and family; “All of a sudden my phone started going crazy and I got all these text messages and people calling me to tell me I had won $10,000 for drinking water”, said Nicole.
“After jumping on the Internet and seeing my picture appear, I immediately called the h2go promotion number to confirm my identity and the next 48 hours were the most nerve racking of my life – the win still hasn’t fully sunk in yet” added Nicole.
Nicole was at the beach on holiday with a friend, who had just finished reading the promotional details on the bottle of h2go they had purchased, when their photo was taken by the h2go undercover photographers. Having never won a competition before Nicole was naturally sceptical about her chances of winning, even saying to her friend, “you never know anyone who wins these competitions!”
Now $10,000 richer Nicole is planing to put the money towards a house which she has spent the last couple of years saving for.
The h2go snapped for cash promotion has been running for two weeks and the undercover photographers have been canvassing the country from the Big Day Out to beach days out. All of the photos have been placed on www.snappedforcash.co.nz and go into the draw to win a weekly prize of $10,000 over nine weeks.
Nicole is the second winner of the h2go Snapped for Cash promotion with a further seven draws to take place until the 16th March. The next draw is on TV2 this Sunday, 3rd February, at 8.20pm.
All the photos currently on the h2go Snapped for Cash website will be re-entered into the remaining eight draws, while the h2go photographers continue to roam the country and take photos of more h2go drinkers.
h2go was the first New Zealand mineral water to be bottled in a sippertop pack, and is one of the largest on the go lifestyle water brands in New Zealand.
