New Years Resolutions Expected To Boost New Personal Development Course Based On “The Secret” Principles
Coordinators of a new personal development course based on the famous publication “The Secret” is expecting an influx of
people seeking to follow through with their New Year’s resolutions in 2008.
Established in New Zealand in June last year, the SGR Club (Science of Getting Rich Club) combines the works of Bob
Proctor, Jack Canfield and Michael Beckwith, all of whom contributed to last year’s Number 1 best seller “The Secret”,
which was endorsed by Oprah Winfrey and created a world media sensation.
The SGR Club’s teachings include the principal of “The Secret”, however it provides not just information on the Law of
Attraction, around which the works of “The Secret” are based, but six other laws which also determine financial,
lifestyle and personal success. Greg Jelas, who holds seminars for the SGR Club on weekly basis at the Langham Hotel,
says the program’s intention is to shift existing belief systems and help people let go of their preconceptions. “The
law of attraction teaches you that you are the mastermind of your own destiny and that whatever you think, is turned
into reality.
“The only difference between a successful person and a person that cannot reach their goals is the belief system that
person holds within themselves. We teach people to remove those limiting beliefs from the past and replace them with new
beliefs, to help them better plan for the future. This helps people achieve the life they desire.”
Greg says New Year’s resolutions are a classic example of goal setting. But many people make these goals without
believing they can actually achieve them. “We train people to change the way they think and take down the negative
barriers that is preventing them from achieving their goal. If this does not occur, then New Year’s resolutions are
likely to go back onto the back burner and behaviour will slip back into the comfort zone.”
Greg says the SGR Club’s weekly seminars currently attract about 20 people each week, but that figure is expected to
increase to around 100 by February. “We are expecting a significant increase over the New Year period when people start
making their New Year’s resolutions.”
The weekly seminars are assisted by new lessons that are personally added to the program by Dr Bob Proctor. These
lessons are then discussed and brainstormed at the seminar in groups of eight. “This provides an excellent platform for
seminar attendees to think of ways in which they can overcome fears or negative thoughts which are preventing them from
reaching their goals.”
Greg was first attracted to the SGR Club after attending a seminar that was personally attended by Dr Bob Proctor. “I
have always been heavily interested in the area of personal development but Dr Bob Proctor’s course instantly changed
the direction of my life.”
After more than 16 years in the concrete business, Greg is now committed full-time to Dr Bob Proctors seminars. “This is
one of the most advanced and effective personal development programs I have seen in my 16 years of interest in the
area,” he says.
Seminars are held each Tuesday at the Langham Hotel with the first of 2008 sessions beginning on 15 February.
