Smarter Shopping Comparison Website Launch
PriceMe, www.priceme.co.nz has launched a new shopping comparison website targeted at savvy online consumers. PriceMe is
a shopping search engine which allows you to find the best bargains and deals online. Consumers can compare prices from
118 retailers with more than 125,000 products across diverse categories, including books, DVDs, computers and software,
games and consoles, electronics and wines.
Gone are the days of visiting website after website! Now all your favourite online retailers are located in one
convenient place, giving you the ability to compare and see products and prices quickly and easily. PriceMe aims to show
you every available product at every available price, so that you can make the most informed decision when shopping
online.
As well as product information, there is price history, product and retailer reviews, product comparisons and all
provided with absolutely no retailer bias. Hot lists of new products, as well as top rated and most popular products
further enhance the user experience. PriceMe retrieves new product and price information daily so that displayed
information is always up to date.
Products can be searched for by category, brand, price or by using the search bar. New retailers are being added to the
website on a continual basis.
Online Shopping: PriceMe expects to take advantage of the rapid growth of online shopping in New Zealand. As reported in
the NZ Herald on the 20th of December, NZ is having an online shopping boom with users having spent $585m in November
2007 on new and used goods and services.
In addition, within overseas internet markets, researching products online is now only second in popularity to sending
email. For Retailers: PriceMe's retailers pay lead referral fees when consumers click through to retailer websites from
its service. Retailers can access their own account page to monitor and maintain their products, compare their product
and price rankings with other retailers and create reports of their top products and categories for specific time
periods.
