Graham Hart's Rank Group Make $2.7 Billion Deal For Alcoa's Packaging Business
Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is advising New Zealand's Rank Group Limited in connection with its agreement to purchase Alcoa's packaging and consumer businesses to for $2.7 billion in cash. These businesses include the Flexible Packaging, Closure Systems International, Consumer Products and Reynolds Food Packaging divisions of Alcoa.
The products of the business include Reynolds Wrap branded and private label foil, wrap and bags.
The Rank Group is a New Zealand-based privately-held company. Debevoise & Plimpton LLP is a leading international law firm with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London, Paris, Frankfurt, Moscow, Hong Kong and Shanghai.
The Debevoise team was led by partners Jeffrey J. Rosen and Kevin Schmidt and included partners David A. Brittenham, David H. Schnabel and Elizabeth Pagel Serebransky, counsel Stuart Hammer and Charles E. Wachsstock and associates Chandra J. Mitchell, Molly F. Stockley, Dagmar Tricot, Michael Bolotin, and Lisa A. Schwartz.
