‘Welcome Aboard [Insert Your Name Here] Airlines
Ever wanted to have your very own plane for the day? Well thanks to Air New Zealand’s grabaplane promotion, which launches today, one lucky Kiwi will have that wish come true!
The winner and forty of their mates will take off on their own special Q300 flight to their choice of any of the 26 spots around New Zealand to which Air New Zealand flies.
Air New Zealand Marketing Manager Jules Lloyd predicts this groundbreaking grabaplane promotion will quickly bring friends out of the woodwork and is a unique opportunity to design the ultimate day trip.
“Grabaplane is offering one New Zealander the opportunity to choose where they want to go, at what time and who comes along with them. Your mates will be clambering to get a seat!”
People can set up their own plane by registering at grabaseat.co.nz. Then they need to get 40 friends to join them onboard by sending them to the website to register their details. Once a person’s plane has all 40 seats filled, it will be entered into the draw to be in to win the fantastic flight that they have planned. The flight will take place on Saturday 26 January 2008.
The grabaplane concept is yet another Air New Zealand grabaseat promotion bringing fresh, intriguing and innovative opportunities for Kiwis to get out and experience their amazing country.
grabaseat.co.nz was launched online in July 2006 and is a New Zealand first, featuring a range of ludicrously low domestic fares, posted daily on the website. Fare specials from any of Air New Zealand’s 26 domestic ports as well as exclusive international destinations are priced below the airline’s every day low fare pricing structure.
Groundbreaking promotions such as this week’s “How Low Can You Go” auction with 10,000 domestic seats up for grabs, the 26 day ‘grabaseat on tour’ which broke promotional records for the site by offering daily fares between $1 and $26 dollars, and grabaseat first birthday $1 fare offers, have resulted in huge traffic to the website and a public appetite for even more ludicrously low fares.
