EUFA INFORMATION          -          Road Show  (January February March)
The speakers and agendas for the EUFA ‘Road Show’ will be finalised this week.
Mr Charles Sturt, former director of the Serious fraud off ice, will be guest speaker at the first meeting, to be held in Orewa on 21 January 2008. He will be speaking on recovery.
Mr Gareth Morgan will be speaking at the Wellington.  Mr Morgan is a very successful New Zealander who campaigns against the dysfunction in the industry.
Outspoken Share Broker Chris Lee of Kapiti, will speak at the Napier and Palmerston North meetings.  Mr Lee spoke at the Bridgecorp meeting in Auckland and people, in particular from the Hawkes Bay, requested he be invited to speak on the Road Show.
Mr Gray Eatwell, farmer from Southland and founder of  ‘The Bank Customer Action Collective’ will speak in Nelson. Mr Eatwells well-publicised dispute with the BNZ began at the Nelson branch where he identified overcharging interest on his company accounts.  His exposure of this lead to the BNZ putting his companies into receivership.  Mr Eatwell will speak on our country’s processes and New Zealand’s failure to provide adequate remedies for everyday New Zealanders who are wronged.
Yesterday we invited Price Waterhouse Coopers, Receivers for Bridgecorp, to speak at the Christchurch and Dunedin meetings and are yet to confirm.  We are very hopeful they will accept the invitation and speak on the process Receiverships in general.
Mr Eatwell has accepted his invitation to speak in Invercargill. He is now a landowner and farmer in the Invercargill and Southland area, which has been hit hard by finance company collapses and he is passionate that all the victims are reached by EUFA.
