Toys Top Christmas Lists With Kids Of All Ages
More and more adults are channelling the child within when it comes to writing their Christmas wish list, with toys of
all shapes and sizes becoming ‘must have’ items.
Pre-Christmas buying trends at Noel Leeming stores show that adults want toys just as much as kids do, with the hottest
new electronic products taking over from practical gifts in the popularity stakes.
Noel Leeming’s general manager of merchandise, Jason Bell, says consumers are steering towards gifts that have a focus
on fun.
“Our biggest sellers over the Christmas period have definitely changed in the last couple of years with the focus now
on iPods, digital cameras, console games or the latest cellphones. Pre-Christmas sales show the iPod nano as being one
of the hottest gifts this season,” he says.
As well as the new release iPod nano, PlayStation2 games and digital cameras will again top the list, along with some
fun lower priced electronic gadgets like the Digital Photo Frame Keyring and Barbie Laptop, but he warns that some of
them will sell out quickly.
“Most of the big brands have new products out which will appeal to kids of all ages,” he says adding that sometimes the
perfect way to spoil loved ones is to treat them to fun gifts they would not buy for themselves.
