42 Below Wins Gongs From 42 Above
New Zealand’s own super-premium spirit company 42 BELOW has added four more awards to its already heaving mantelpiece –
this time from a city at the opposite parallel.
The Beverage Testing Institute of Chicago held their annual tasting awards where 42 BELOW scooped four gongs from Uncle
Sam’s place:
42 Below Manuka Honey – Gold; 42 Below – Silver; 42 Below Passionfruit – Silver; 42 Below Kiwifruit – Bronze
The Beverage Institute of Chicago described 42 Below Honey as “Clear with a pale straw nickel cast. Vibrant raw
honeycomb, dried white flower, and flax aromas follow through to a supple, off-dry medium-full body with great vibrancy
of wild and woolly honey and beeswax flavors and a spicy pink peppercorn and mineral fade.”
42 Below’s chief vodka bloke Paul Dibbayawan says, “We are delighted to add another award to already heaving
mantelpiece.”
“It just goes to show that it’s not just in New Zealand that they’re loving our vodka. We export 42 Below to more than
25 countries around the world and in return these countries are giving us accolades by the bucket load. It seems like a
good deal to us.”
