Oil Prices At Record Highs? Time To Buy A Sexy Italian...

With oil prices hitting record highs around the world, Fiat is doing something about it by offering driveaway pricing of $24,990 on the Fiat Punto 1.3 JTD, the winner of the AA 2007 Environmental Award for sipping just 4.6 litres per 100 km on the combined fuel test.
With acclaimed styling by the Italian maestro Giugiaro, the man named as the world’s leading designer of the 20th century, and a long list of standard equipment that includes cruise control, AirCon, remote central locking and front electric windows, driving the Fiat Punto JTD is no hair shirt economy experience, even if its advanced multijet Turbo Diesel engine is consuming a tiny amount of fuel and emitting a benchmark low 122 g/km of CO2.
“Its often said there’s nothing we can do about world oil prices,” says Lawrie Malatios, General Manager of Fiat New Zealand. “But they’re wrong. The answer is to buy a Fiat Punto 1.3 JTD and stop worrying because you’ll be using so little fuel it almost won’t matter!”
