Sacha Mcneil To Join 3 News
News reporter Sacha McNeil is to join the 3 News team in August as a presenter. The accomplished journalist will be working alongside her father, veteran reporter, Bob McNeil, in the newsroom.
Sacha McNeil will present 3 News at the weekends, alongside Alistair Wilkinson, while Carolyn Robinson is on maternity leave.
McNeil has worked as a broadcast presenter and reporter for the past eight years, including stints on ONE News, Breakfast and Tonight. She has extensive experience reporting live from the field and has covered a range of breaking news stories.
Mark Jennings, 3’s Director of News and Current Affairs, says McNeil will make a valuable contribution to the 3 newsroom.
"We have watched Sacha develop her on-air broadcast skills. She is a talented reporter and will be a valuable addition to our strong line-up of female presenters, Hilary Barry, Carolyn Robinson and Carly Flynn.”
Bob McNeil, who is one of television news' best-known faces, has worked at 3 News for 16 years. He says he’s very much looking forward to working alongside his daughter:
“Sacha is a very focused and committed reporter, I’m sure we’ll have a great working relationship here at 3 and a bit of fun along the way.”
