Trade Me Enters Commercial & Rural Property
Trade Me is moving into the commercial and rural property market, with the expansion of its #1 real estate website Trade Me Property.
Starting today Trade Me Property will offer specialist functionality and sub-sites for people wishing to buy or market commercial and rural property.
“As a result of approaches from real estate companies and investors, we have spent the last month building and testing dedicated tools for these markets,” said Trade Me’s head of business, Mike O’Donnell.
“The blossoming commercial property market has made owners and landlords hungry for ways to connect with buyers and tenants more efficiently. We’re able to put properties in front of more eyeballs more often, so it just makes sense to build it.”
“Likewise, the recent cooling of the rural market has led sellers to take a closer look at the best way to get value from their marketing. We’ve built the new rural property section to connect with the most buyers, while allowing sellers to customize their listing according to farm type and land use.”
Since its launch last year, Trade Me Property has led the real estate category of the NZ internet, receiving over 200% more visitors than any other real estate site*. Nielsen’s recent Real Estate Market Report sponsored by REALENZ showed Trade Me Property was the most popular and easy to use real estate website.
