Ferrit Delivers Free

Ferrit Delivers Free
Offer ends one week before Christmas
Since the start of December, Ferrit has offered free delivery to all customers who use the new shopping cart to buy directly from the site.
The offer applies until midnight on 20 December and is available on standard deliveries to just about anywhere in New Zealand.
“This is a welcome offer celebrating Ferrit’s shopping cart. It’s also a challenge, to make Ferrit pay,” says Head of Marketing, Peter Wogan. “We want to blow the budget on this one. If New Zealanders go on a three-week shopping spree buying online we’ll be chuffed!”
Why free delivery? Because US research shows that Christmas online purchasing is more influenced by free delivery than any other offer or discount. In 2005
44 percent of those surveyed said they were influenced by the offer of ‘free shipping without conditions’ to buy from a particular retailer compared with
27 percent influenced by ‘online only sales’.*
Hill & Stewart is one of the high profile retailers available on Ferrit.
“We are excited about the opportunity for sales from this promotion,” says Nigel Merrett, owner, Hill & Stewart. “We’re also doing some other joint marketing activity with Ferrit that will contribute further to making this promotion a significant investment from them.”
Customers can also choose from a huge range of books and DVDs at Whitcoulls, which joined Ferrit two weeks ago.
To protect its customers Ferrit supports secure credit transactions based on the international PCIDSS standard (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). It use Secure Socket Layer 3.0 transactions, which mean that exchanges between customers and the server are secure, and any data, transferred during the order process cannot be interfered with or read by unauthorised third parties.
Changes in Ferrit
The biggest single change in the total redesign of Ferrit is the introduction of a single shopping cart. Consumers can browse through stores, search for items, compare prices, features and attributes, check on retailers’ guarantees and terms of service, select products, load them into their shopping cart, arrange shipping, and then, when they’ve done, pay for them all at once with a single credit card entry. When their credit card bill arrives, it will be broken out by retailer.
As well as a single shopping cart, Ferrit features a number of further enhancements which make searching and comparing faster, easier and more flexible and improve the overall online shopping experience. Tools like the Gift Grabber and Wish Lists have been expanded, streamlined and made more responsive to shoppers’ preferences.
