New Look Export Breakfasts To Energise Businesses
December 4, 2006 -- Export New Zealand and New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) have partnered to host a series of inspirational breakfast sessions designed to help companies learn from each other to export more effectively.
The "New Zealand New Thinking Export Breakfasts" will profile successful New Zealand exporters and highlight their experiences, as well as providing background on overseas market opportunities, recent trade agreements and export trends.
Sponsored by DHL, QBE and Mondiale, the sessions will be a part of Export Year 2007 and act as a precursor to a number of exporter education sessions.
“Both Export NZ and NZTE have held separate breakfast sessions in the past -focused on the main centres around New Zealand,” said Bob Walters, CEO of Export New Zealand.
“This new initiative gives both of us the opportunity to deliver to a wider business audience throughout the country, the inspirational and innovative experiences of our exporting community.”
Mr Walters said sessions would include overseas experts talking about the dynamics and key success factors for their home markets.
NZTE Business Process Manager, Elizabeth Gollan welcomed the joint initiative.
“The information presented at the New Zealand New Thinking breakfasts will provide an important stimulus to existing and potential exporters to learn about new and innovative ways of doing business overseas,” said Ms Gollan.
“The series gives both organisations the opportunity to introduce exporters to the wider business community and learn from shared experiences. Some of our exporters do not necessarily have a high profile in New Zealand, but are doing some very clever and innovative things overseas which other businesses could learn from.”
“The first series of the new look breakfasts kicks off in Auckland and Tauranga on December 7 and I would encourage companies to register to attend,” says Ms Gollan.
