Dubai Trips On Offer For All At New Zealand Open Golf
Trips to Dubai will be on offer to both golfers and the public at the Blue Chip New Zealand Open at Gulf Harbour
Country Club course, north of Auckland, starting next week.
Through the pro-am round that precedes the tournament proper and through a public hole-in-one competition that will be
held daily during the tournament, major sponsor and official airline Emirates will be encouraging participants to make
donations that will go to the First Tee, which channels youth into golf.
In return, the winners of each activity will win a trip to Dubai on Emirates.
In the case of the pro-am competition, golfers who pay a donation will be able to enter a "closest to the pin"
challenge at the Emirates-sponsored, par-three eighth hole. The reward for the winning entry will be a ticket to Dubai
on Emirates.
And for ordinary spectators at the tournament itself, Emirates will repeat its public hole-in-one challenge alongside
the driving range at the course. Spectators who make a donation to First Tee, will be able to shoot at a simulated hole,
with daily prizes for those successful, as well as a trip to Dubai to be drawn from among them at the end of the
tournament.
These attractions are in addition to the major Emirates' prize available to the professionals competing in the
tournament. Any professional achieving an ace at the eighth hole during the tournament will win business class tickets
for two to Dubai from any point on the Emirates network of more than 80 destinations. The prize will be available on all
four days and if there is more than one winner, each will receive the same prize.
