Welcome to the November 16 edition of the BNZ Weekly Overview.
There have been no truly significant developments on the economic front over the past week. But the new information
received helps illustrate some of the key points we have been making over the past two or three years. These include
shrinking business margins, a soft landing for the retail sector, and still very good support in the residential real
estate market. In the financial markets there has been little movement in interest rates while the Kiwi dollar is down
marginally against the greenback.
