Jane Eagles is promoted from Group Account Director as part of new vision for next-generation agency
AUCKLAND, 15 November 2006 – AIM Proximity, New Zealand’s leading direct and interactive marketing agency, today announced the appointment of Jane Eagles to the position of Auckland General Manager.
Jane Eagles will head up the Auckland office following six years at the agency. During this time Jane has played a key role in helping to consolidate its worldwide reputation. Only last month AIM Proximity was the most awarded agency in the world at the 2006 Echo Awards in San Francisco, picking up a remarkable 3 silvers and 3 bronze awards across a range of campaigns for Telecom, Mini, Lexus and BNZ.
Darryn Melrose, CEO at AIM Proximity, comments on the new appointment: “Jane’s appointment further underlines the depth of talent we have at AIM Proximity. Her promotion reflects our firm belief in nurturing and developing top-class individuals internally. She’s innovative, oozes enthusiasm and always brings a fresh perspective; and will no doubt make an immediate impact in her new role. As a business we’re evolving into a next-generation agency that is firmly focused on the future, placing greater emphasis on the methodologies that support behaviour-changing ideas. Jane’s appointment will enable us to more effectively achieve this as a business.”
Jane Eagles comments on her new role at AIM Proximity: “We’ve got a huge advantage over other agencies in that we benefit from smart strategic thinking built around real, rather than implied, customer insight. We are not just about the big idea; we’re about using the power of relevance to engage our client’s customers as individuals, using this connection to drive measurable behaviour change. We use the power of each channel to deliver effective multi-channel campaigns. In terms of people, we’ve got the best in the business right here and I intend to build on our existing achievements to take the Auckland office on to the next level.”
Prior to joining AIM Proximity Jane was Account Director at Bates, Bates Generator and Trigger Australasia (now Tequila). Throughout her 10 year career in the industry she has picked up numerous awards for her client work most noticeably in the financial and automotive sectors, including this year’s Gold at CANNES LIONS.
