Ashish founded Bigtree Entertainment in 1999, partnering with NZ software company Vista; in 7 years Bigtree has grown to now having a 90% share of the Multiplex Cinema ticketing market.
Hear Ashish talk about the growth of his company, his experience of working with a New Zealand partner, the challenges and benefits of tackling the Indian market including choosing the right partner in business.
Associate Professor Val Lindsay, Head of School of Marketing and International Business, Victoria University, Wellington
Val has a long involvement with the New Zealand exporting community, as a practitioner and as an academic. She worked with New Zealand Trade Development Board in the area of export education and strategy, and has undertaken research into the drivers of, and constraints and barriers to, exporting, particularly in relation to small-to-medium sized firms. Val has presented numerous seminars to companies and industry associations on exporting, and undertaken training workshops for SMEs on exporting and international expansion.
Ken Penniall, Group Export Manager for Tasman Insulation NZ Ltd & Fletcher Insulation, Australia.
Ken is also National Vice President of Export New Zealand
Ken has over 25 years export experience in the building and construction sectors including Air conditioning and Roof Insulation , Acoustics and Energy conservation.
Apart from experience in exporting to the Middle East, South East Asia, North Asia, Pacific and the Americas, Ken has helped develop export markets in India.
Ken will discuss his experience, benefits and challenges of building and maintaining export business relationships with Indian companies
