TelstraClear Renews IT Services Contract with Unisys
TelstraClear has renewed its IT support arrangement with Unisys for a further 12 months. During this period TelstraClear will transition its desktop support from Unisys to its subsidiary company Sytec.
TelstraClear Chief Information Officer Andrew Crabb says the company purchased Sytec in November 2004 to boost its in-house ICT capability.
"Unisys have done a good job over the last six years, however, it makes sense for TelstraClear to use the high calibre resources and expertise it acquired from the purchase of Sytec."
As part of the outsourcing contract renewal Unisys will provide a broad range of IT services to TelstraClear including: Server management, infrastructure architecture design and project management, LAN/WAN management, database management, Novell management and Microsoft management.
"This agreement further endorses the strength of the Unisys relationship with TelstraClear as a living breathing partnership which benefits both parties," says Unisys New Zealand Managing Director Brett Hodgson."
Unisys and TelstraClear will continue their strong working relationship by working together on specific projects, as customers and as 'go to market' partners.
