Limousine Transport A Hit For Guests To New Zealand
(Auckland, 30 October 2006) --- Proving New Zealand hotels are able to compete with the best in the world, the Langham
Hotel, Auckland has purchased a third limousine to add to their fleet following huge demand from guests.
The addition to the fleet comes one year after the commencement of the Langham limousine service in September 05. Hotel
limousine services are relatively new to New Zealand but have been available at prestigious overseas hotels for some
time.
“The demand for the limousine service has been exceptionally strong, it’s great to see the vehicles so appreciated by
our guests” says Langham Hotel, Auckland managing director John Dick.
The Langham fleet is New Zealand’s first and only BMW limousine service. Each vehicle is a black BMW 7 Series valued in
excess of $200,000 per car. The cars were built specifically for the Langham Hotel, Auckland and feature an extended
wheel base to provide significant additional legroom in the rear. Passengers will also enjoy a private television,
mineral water, Bluetooth mobile phone capability, rear seat climate controls, stereo controls, privacy screens and rear
blinds.
“This is just one of the many ways the Langham is working to raise the level and set itself apart from the accepted
five-star standard in New Zealand,” says Mr Dick.
The service has been designed as an added value for guests enabling visitors to enjoy the five-star Langham service
outside of the confines of the hotel. Each limousine is driven by a highly experienced and discreet chauffeur. Guests of
the hotel can use the service for travelling to and from the airport (hotel check-in is also available in the comfort of
the vehicle), business meetings, a picnic or special occasion across town. Pricing is aligned with regular taxi fares;
an inner city transfer starts at $15 and a trip from the hotel to the airport is $55.
